Your photos. Your decisions.
Don't Date Your Photos helps you sort your own photo library. There is no app account, advertising or in-app analytics SDK. The app does not upload your photos or sorting history to us.
Who we are
Don't Date Your Photos is provided by The Pineapple Plug LLC. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to The Pineapple Plug LLC. Contact us at support@dontdateyourphotos.date.
Your photos and videos
With permission, the app reads your accessible photo library to display and sort it. It uses local image caches. We do not upload your photos or retain copies on developer-operated servers. Your own iCloud Photos and device-backup settings are managed by Apple, outside this app.
Sharing is your choice
In version 1.1, tapping Share opens the iOS share sheet. Only when you choose a destination does iOS pass the selected photo and accompanying message or app link to that app or recipient. Their own privacy practices apply. We do not receive a copy. If you choose Save Image or Save to Photos, iOS may save an additional copy in your library. Sharing an iCloud-only photo may first download its original through Apple.
Local storage
The local database stores photo identifiers and Keep, Favorite, Maybe and deletion selections, completed-deletion records, sorting position, allowance recovery information and estimated totals. The app does not upload these records.
The iOS Keychain stores your plan, subscription expiration and free-allowance counters. That record contains no photos or photo identifiers. Keychain data may persist after uninstalling; this behavior is controlled by iOS. Eligible purchases can be restored through Apple.
Updates and purchases
Expo provides software updates through EAS Update. Requests include an installation identifier (EAS Client ID), platform, app/runtime and update information, and may include a previous fatal-error message and failed-update information for update reliability. Expo and its delivery providers also receive network information such as your IP address. These are technical identifiers and diagnostics, not an app account or an advertising profile. The app does not include photos or sorting history in these update requests. Expo handles this information under its own privacy and retention practices. See Expo's privacy policy.
Apple handles purchases and restoration. StoreKit provides the app with transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock your plan. We do not receive your payment-card details or billing address from the app. Apple may provide us with aggregate sales and financial reports to operate the business; this does not require tracking your photo sorting.
Deletion and Favorites
Marked photos are collected for review and removed only after confirmation. iOS normally retains deleted items in Recently Deleted for up to 30 days unless permanently deleted sooner. Check Photos for the recovery options available for each item. Storage savings are estimates and depend on device and iCloud settings.
Favoriting changes the Favorite flag in your photo library. Apple may sync library changes according to your own iCloud settings.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond and resolve your request. Email providers process these messages to deliver and store them. Please do not send sensitive photos or payment details. No photos or diagnostics are automatically attached by this app.
This website
The website host processes normal request information, such as IP addresses, to serve pages. Fonts are served from this website rather than requested from Google Fonts. These website requests do not contain your app photo library or sorting records.
Removing information
Deleting the app removes its ordinary local storage. Keychain records and Apple-managed backups may remain. We do not have a server copy of your photo library or sorting history. Contact support to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any applicable record-retention obligations.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. Contact us if a child has sent personal information through support.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the app's data practices change. Material changes will also be reflected inside the app. Questions: support@dontdateyourphotos.date.
